WTC Bengaluru in association with Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan presents a Seminar on “Changing Labour Laws.”
In order to create the regulatory and operational ease of doing business in India, the government has been amending several laws and the labour law reforms has been so far been the most massive of them all. The government has planned to merge 44 central laws under four categories of wages, social security, industrial safety & welfare and industrial relations. There will be four Labour Codes to provide the ease to the investors in meeting the compliances during operations.
The provision of minimum wages and their timely payment to all employees irrespective of the sector and wage ceiling has now been made applicable uniformly under the Code on Wages. The Code on Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions, among other provisions, addresses two key issues – enabling courts to give a part of the monetary penalties to workers or kin who met with accidents at workplace and enabling women employees to make a choice on working night shifts.
Join us for a lively interaction with our speaker, who will dissect the Codes and address key concerns.
