An online session on Logistics Data Bank (LDB) and Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) was conducted in association with Indian Institute of Materials management (IIMM) Bangalore Chapter. Mr. Abhishek Chaudhary, Vice President -Corporate Affairs, HR &Company Secretary, NICDC Limited was the speaker.

Mr. Abhishek Chaudhary explained how LDB originated, its purposes and the operational flow. It provides a single window, integrated platform with rich data of ports, yards roadways and railways. The unified Logistics Interface Platform was created with an objective to enable paperless processes for logistics leveraging technology for standardization and integration of data sources. He updated the participants on the current status of the ULIP project. The first phase of the project has been completed with multimodal coverage. ULIP in its current second phase aims to provide a single stop access to all compliance, documentation approvals etc asell as bringing in private-public partnership for leveraging information.
