To commemorate the 23rd WTCA Day, the WTCA Asia Pacific Regional Advisory Council (APAC RAC) and the Asia Pacific Regional Office (APRO) organized a special webinar titled “Asia Pacific: Sustainability and WTC Facility Development.”
The session began with a welcome and introduction by Mr. Scott Wang, Vice President – Asia Pacific, WTCA.
The theme of the event focused on how sustainable real estate development is shaping the future of cities across the Asia-Pacific region. It discussed how challenges such as climate change, urbanization and resource scarcity can be addressed through green building practices, energy-efficient technologies and sustainable urban planning.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Chandrashekar Hariharan, Chairman, Indian Green Building Council (Bengaluru Chapter), spoke on “Sustainable Real Estate Development: Shaping the Future of APAC Cities,” offering insights into how environmentally responsible infrastructure is critical for resilient and inclusive urban growth.
This was followed by a panel discussion featuring senior leaders from the WTC network across India, China and Taiwan, who shared the sustainability models adopted at their centers and the role of the WTC network in advancing green development.
