21/03/2020 | Completed Event

Indian Institute of Materials Management & World Trade Center Bengaluru in association with Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan presents a Workshop on GST New Returns-Table by Table Analysis & Implications.

e-Invoice and Simplified New Returns are proposed to be rolled out by April 2020 by the Government as a major step for a digital economy and to ensure simplified compliance. It is imperative to discuss the e-invoice standards at each field level which would enable businesses to communicate their business transactions in a seamless digital mode and also report this to a common Invoice Registration Portal (IRP).

In the wake of the Annual Returns having been filed for the FY 2017-18, it is imperative to throw light on some of the issues which may arise at the time of Scrutiny of the Returns by the Department and which requires preparedness at the industry’s end.  The assesses in India will also need to gain an insight on the legal updates introduced in the recent past on the transition credit, blocking of Electronic Credit Ledger, blocking of facility to generate e-way bill, availing credit on missing invoices to a specified percentage, handling on-going investigation under GST Law, etc.

While the entire country would be stepping into the third year of implementation of the GST Law, the amendments to the law, judicial trends, and proposed initiatives in the recent past would have a direct bearing on the business operations and cash-flow of an assessee. Further, it is a time where the tax payers are migrating from existing returns system to new return systems where various transitional issues can crop-up at the time of during its implementation/ execution.

Experts from, our Knowledge Partner Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, will discuss all the new returns forms both at field level and at portal level (prototype) in its finest details table-by-table along with its implications on the taxpayers on the reporting aspects.

Come join us in this edifying session at the World Trade Center Bengaluru.
