TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council), Taiwan's trade promotion organization sponsored by the Taiwan government and supported by the World Trade Center Bengaluru organized SMART ASIA India 2018 at Bangalore International Exhibition Center, Bangalore from 4th to 6th  October 2018.

SMART ASIA India 2018, a B2B trade show was designed to facilitate India's ambitious 'Smart Cities Mission'. The themes for 2018 focussed on three major aspects, namely, Smart City Solutions, Smart Technology Applications, and City Development Product and Services. SMART ASIA India demonstrated cutting-edge technologies and solutions available to tackle challenges that Indian cities are facing as a result of urbanization and increasing population. The Expo cum Summit had more than 100 companies from Taiwan exhibiting their product and services.
