Mr. Junya Tashiro, Director General, Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), Bengaluru visited the World Trade Center Bengaluru on 22nd December, 2016. The objective of his visit was to understand the opportunities for bilateral trade and investment between Japan and India, and particularly with the state of Karnataka. The meeting also explored possible partnerships between both the organizations.

WTC Bengaluru already has a large presence of several Japanese MNC tenants such as The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Hitachi, TT Network Integration India Pvt. Ltd, Rakuten, Toyota Tsusho.
